Requests for Deckiller to review your game
I think I need to do a write-up of a project of yours I recently played!
I know you're only doing short games right now, but If you ever find 4-5 hours for Brave Hero Yuusha, feel free!

Post a fun fact... about yourself!
- How old were you when you encountered RM?
I've been aware of RM for a long time, but did not actually start using it until I was 25, three years ago. This is still "new" to me.
- How many games have you completed ( not started ).
Brave Hero Yuusha
The Brief and Meaningless Adventure of Hero Man
Magus Spirits (short contest entry)
- How many times have you considered cancelling projects?
EVERY DAY
Number of projects actually cancelled: 4, but they were all small projects from early on.

Aspiring game developer. Life decision dilemma
author=SaitenHazard
Only solution I can think of is just to do both. Which again would take a lot of time away from actually developing games. By the way only just started my second year of my undergrad if that helps in anyway. Please share your thoughts.
Don't limit yourself to just one thing in life. The worst thing you can do to yourself is be over-specialized in one thing and ONLY one thing. Because if your type of work goes belly-up for some reason down the road, you need to be multi-faceted if you need to find a new career in a pinch.
I have a Master's in Library Science. I work full time between two jobs in two different libraries and do game design on the side as just a personal hobby, but it's also another option to look at if I decide I need a change of pace years from now.
Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

edit: sgt that looks great! is that the yuusha again in mv =0
Maybe not the same Yuusha as the last game, but there is indeed a Yuusha doing some wacky things in MV!

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
My last project didn't use autotiles at all. Figured I'd try to learn how.
I'm still trying to get the hang of it.

[Poll] Why You No Nominate For 2015 Misaos Yet, RMN?
author=Liberty
We were looking at limiting the voting for games to only 2/3 categories per game. That is, not letting you nominate/vote the same game for all the categories.
This probably sounds flawed as heck, but what if a game can only be voted on in the top three-ish categories that it was nominated for? For example, a game gets nominated for 10 categories, but can only contend in the three categories that it was nominated for the most?
It's an idea to help prevent "sweepers" but I'm sure there would need to be a bit more to it.
9/10, but still terrible? About game-killing features
My big thing about KH2 was that the combat felt automatic compared to KH1. Press square a lot, and the game does all the work for you. Also they took out the majority of the exploration and that made me kind of mad; flat areas with a few blatant treasure chests doesn't feel fun or rewarding.
I'm also going to throw my unpopular opinion in, and say that the plot twist at the end of Star Ocean 3 ruined the whole game for me, if not the whole series.

Thoughts on RPG Maker MV?
I've posted my thoughts in a few threads but here's a quick summary:
+ Gorgeous RTP resources
+ Plugins are flexible
+ Javascript means more potential plugin support
+ Sideview battles
- All the bugs mentioned above
- Massive file sizes
- Missing and removed features. No in-app script editor, no auto-compression, etc. Awkwardly encourages users to go download other programs instead. It feels very uncomfortable to do this when Ace did many of these things for you.
- Little to no advantage over Ace if you're using RPG Maker casually. Power users will get more of an upgrade from the transition.

2015 "Official" Misao Predictions/Discussion Thread
I've only played a few games this year. but I can say with certainly that my nomination for Most Promising Demo is Ellie Starling's Very Long Walk
